in[+]frame: one year anniversary
(για ελληνικά πατήστε εδώ)
Dear friends and readers,
we are happy to announce that in[+]frame celebrates this week its first year anniversary. Α year ago, on 25th of February in[+]frame launched in the world wide web and published its first post. That day George Halikias and Gerasimos Lountzis decided to communicate their love for photography and to begin an uncertain journey by establishing a virtual space dedicated to artistic photography.
It has been proved a difficult endeavor that demanded time, money, effort and hard decision-making. Thanks to friends, associates and participating photographers, in[+]frame held through the stress of time and accomplished its primary goals: to consistently produce original content, to communicate with people all over the globe, and to shape a distinct identity. We have published over 45 posts, including articles, monthly columns, interviews, photo-album reviews and presentations of photographers.
Of course none of these would be possible without the help of people that shared our vision and contributed the most. We would like to thank:
The participating photographers for their contribution
Petros Kotzabassis for the curation of in[+]frame’s galleries.
Ursula-Helen Kassaveti columnist of Visions, Decoded.
Stelios Ginalas columnist of Legends of Photography.
The ‘behind the scenes’ editing and translating team, Adamantia Zafiropoulou, Chara Bekiou and Athina Stathaki.
Andreas korontzis for the website design and continuous support.
Sia Halikia for the social media management.
Hercules Papaioannou, director of Museum of Photography Thessaloniki, for his helpful advice and the articles he provided.
Finally we would like to thank all the visitors and readers who gave us the motive and the strength to continue. We promise to do our best within our power to stay consistent with our vision.
Our future goals include amongst other:
To present talented photographers.
To share and discuss different perspectives.
To give prominence to artistic photography.
To provide opportunities for interaction.
To explore art through photography.
It has been a wonderful year
Thank you all!
